Sue Massie Gentry

Sue Adams Massie Gentry, 80 of Pearisburg, VA passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her home. Sue was born on June 28, 1941, in Pearisburg and was a daughter of the late Taylor Ford Massie and Nellie Stevens Massie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William (Bill) Earnest Gentry. Sue owned produce markets in Keenan, WV, Union, WV and in Pembroke, VA, was employed at the Castle Rock Golf Club, and was the Gift Shop Manager at the Mountain Lake Hotel in Pembroke. She is survived by one son, William Taylor (Kip) Gentry (Shirley) of Pembroke, one daughter, Susan Brook Gentry Marshall (Donnie) of Pembroke, two granddaughters, Wendy Brook Marshall and Molly Dale Marshall, one brother, Taylor F. Massie, Jr. (Linnea) of Cambridge, MA, one sister, Mary Garland Massie of Lynchburg and sister-in-law, Anne D. Gentry of Dublin. As per Sue’s request, there will be no memorial or funeral.
