Robert Eugene (Bobby) Bostic, 82 of Ripplemead, VA went to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg, VAsurrounded with his family. Mr. Bostic was born on Oct. 18, 1931 in Waiteville, WV and was the youngest child of the late George Andrew and Faye Harless Bostic. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter Gloria Ann Lucas, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Mary Ella Bostic, Arnold and Beulah Bostic, P.D. Bostic, five sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Perry Crosier, Mary and Jack Vencil, Pauline and Fred Harless, Lenore and George Barnette, Orthana Bostic and a son-in-law, Bob Sfalos.Bobby was a devoted, loving husband and family man. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, he and his wife were founders of Giles Auto Parts, Inc. in Pearisburg, he was a member of Giles Lodge # 106 A.F & A.M. and a member of Pearis Chapter RAC #29. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Doris Jean Albert Bostic of Ripplemead, two daughters, Patsy B. Frenchand husband Bobby of Pearisburg, Beth B. Sfalos of San Antonio, TX and special friend, Mike Lucas of Blacksburg, seven grandchildren and their spouses, Renee (Edgar) Williams, Andy (Mary Ellen) French, Chris Williams, Jeremy Williams, Billy Lucas, Cody Lucas, Bobby Lucas and great grandchild, Joey Williams, Kaylie Mann, Ryan French and Dacoda Lucas. Also his sisters-in-law, Eileen Bostic and Nancy (Grady) Hewitt and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 12:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg with the Rev. Dr. Brian Birch, Rev Dr. Fred L. Austin and Pastor Michael Hewitt officiating with entombment in the Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church one hour before the service from 11 to 12. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 400, Pearisburg, VA.
