Martha Christine Brown Ratcliffe

Martha Christine Brown Ratcliffe, 74, of Pearisburg, VA went to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 27, 2022, with her family by her side. Martha was born on December 3, 1947, in Princeton, WV and was a daughter of the late Garnett “G.C.” Carlos Brown and Ruby Christine Hodge Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Randolph Ratcliffe. Martha graduated Nursing School from Wytheville Community College and worked as an RN for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg and was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Prime Timers. As a RN, she was a longtime caregiver to many members of her family, loved the company of her family, grandkids and great grandkids and her fur babies, Randy and Zippo. She is survived by one son, Richard Len Ratcliffe (Cindy) of Narrows, four daughters, Felicia Kingrea (Todd) of Soddy Daisy, TN, Kim Kantsios, (Billy) of Rich Creek, Shelly Williams (Jerry) of Ripplemead, Pam Watson of Pearisburg, nine loving grandchildren, Ricky, Logan (Meredith), Chase, Brett (Catie), Matthew (MaKayla), Jeremy, Kyle (Johna), Taylor (Dequan), Justin, eight loving great grandchildren, Richard, Ryan, Kayden, Cameron, Reid, Johnny, Adrianna and Gianna, one brother, Dennis Brown (Joann), two sisters, Nancy Weiss and Melissa Morsey and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg with the Rev Dr Brian Burch officiating with burial following in the Ratcliffe Family Cemetery in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church Tuesday evening from 6 – 8pm. Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
