Mae Brown Shrader Hudson

Mae Brown Shrader Hudson, 89 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Hudson was born on August 29, 1929 at Rock, WV and was a daughter of the late Wilbur Ellis Brown and Dacie Voler Church Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Ed (Sonnie) Hudson, a sister, Ollie Barnett of Salem, VA and a brother, Robert Brown of California. Mrs. Hudson was a member of the First Christian Church in Pearisburg, serving the Lord for many years as Secretary/Treasurer and Deaconess. She is survived by one daughter, Teresa H. and Gerald Boswell of Lucama, NC, one granddaughter, Catherine Boswell of Lucama, NC, a sister, Ethel Akers of Bluefield, WV and a brother, James Brown of Lutz, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 12pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Charles Henderson officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Monday one hour before the service and other times at the home.
