Lonnie Dale Snell

Lonnie Dale Snell, 59 of Lexington, VA, formerly of Bluefield, VA and Estes Park, CO, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his home. Lonnie was born on December 25, 1958 in Richlands, VA and was a son of Shirley Lucille Harmon Snell and the late Robert Edison Snell. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by four aunts, Norma Jean Johnson, Maxine Crigger, Hazel Harmon, Bert Snell and seven uncles, Larry Snell, Bill Johnson, Don Nichols, Wayne Snell, Lee Beavers, Robert Harmon and Willis Crigger. Lonnie graduated from Graham High School in 1977, he was a career florist. Lonnie loved traveling, plays, wild flowers, art and painting. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Lucille Harmon Snell of Bluefield, VA, two sisters, Diane Smith and husband Alan of Pearisburg, Crystal Perdue and her husband Mike of Pearisburg, two nieces, Jessica Brown and her husband Daniel of Peterstown, WV, Miranda Smith and her husband Todd of Blacksburg, one nephew, Shane Perdue and his fiancé Cheyanne Ratliff of Pearisburg, three great nieces, Lilliana Brown, Delainey Brown, Hailey Smith, and great nephew, Ryland Smith, three uncles Gerald Snell and his wife Margaret, Raymond Snell and his wife Barbara, Darrell Snell and his wife Linda, aunts, Jodi Snell, Phyllis Nichols, Beulah Beavers, his special friend, James Schley of Lexington, his special friend and angel, Jessie of Lexington, and several cousins, loved ones and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. The family is being served by Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, VA.
