Juanita (Sissy) Ruth Hudson Croy

Juanita (Sissy) Ruth Hudson Croy, 83 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord Sunday morning December 3, 2017. Mrs. Croy was born on January 12, 1934 in Pearisburg and was a daughter of the late Arthur Ellis and Dovey Pauline Albert Hudson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Croy, six brothers, Arnold, Chapman, Patrick, Ellis, John and Buddy Hudson and a loving sister, Iva Jean White. Juanita was a graduate from Eggleston High School, Bluefield College and a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows with 38 years of service. She was a charter member of the Angels Rest Baptist Church in Pearisburg and she loved her flower gardens and traveling. She also loved helping her family and friends. She was very active in the Giles County Relay for Life. She is survived by, three sons, Michael Shawn & Susan Croy of Eggleston, Mark Edward Croy and Indra Tamang of Copperhill, Richard Stacy & Becky Croy of Pembroke, three grandchildren, Paul Logan Croy of Eggleston, Trevor Myers, Tarah Myers Carrico, one great grandchild, Pacey Carrico, one brother, Roland Hudson of Pearisburg, numerous nieces and nephews and one special niece, Tina Ann White Munsey of Pembroke. She is also survived by many members of the Jones family, many friends and co-workers from the Celanese Corp. in Narrows. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1pm at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg with the Rev. Dr. Brian Burch officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 pm.
