Janice Ruth Gross Frye

Janice Ruth Gross Frye, 93 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Janice was born on July 7, 1933, in Narrows, VA, and was a daughter of the late William Mack Gross and Cecelia Price Gross. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Ann Gross Chaney, Mary Jo Turner, Emogene Fisher and brother, Willard J. Gross

Janice was a member of LifePoint Giles in Pearisburg, was a member of the Ladies Auxilary of VFW Post 6000 as President and Treasurer for many years. She was a former employee of Litte Docs in Narrows, Ched’s in Pearisburg, B & B Stores in Narrows and worked for the American Greeting Card Co. keeping many stores in the local area stocked with greeting cards.

She is survived by 2 sons, Glenn William “G.W. Sheally, Jr. (Linda) of Roanoke, Franklin Todd Sheally of L.A., CA, 1 daughter, Connie Ruth Sheally of Pearisburg, 2 grandchildren, Donald Lee Waldron, Jeremy William Sheally, 1 great grandchild, Chloe Shealy and 4 sisters, Evelyn Elizabeth Gross Hale (Bobby) of Roanoke.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 2pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg, VA with Pastor Bob Stockburger officiating. Burial will be conducted on Wednesday at 10am at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg
