James Daniel Perkins

James Daniel Perkins, Sr., 61 of Pearisburg, VA., went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2012 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Mr. Perkins was born on November 16, 1950 in Pearisburg and was a son of the late Vernon Eugene Perkins and Nadine Claire Woods Perkins. He was preceded in death by one sister Hazel P. Stephens. He was a past employee of the Valleydale Meat Packing Plant in Salem, He is survived by his wife, Carol Holdren Perkins of Marion, VA., one son, James Daniel Perkins, Jr., two grandchildren, one sister, Norma P. Walters of Pearisburg, three brothers, Gary E. Perkins, Phillip W. Perkins, Darrell W. Perkins all of Pearisburg and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 2:00pm with Rev Gary Poff officiating. The family is being served by Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, VA.
