Helen Rowena Whittaker Cawley, 78 of Norfolk, Va, formerly of Pearisburg, VA, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at home. Mrs. Cawley was born on September 18, 1932 in Pearisburg and was a daughter of the late George Edward Whittaker and Maude Austin Whittaker. Mrs. Cawley is survived by 2 daughter, 1 sister, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Givens Funeral Home at 11:00am in Pearisburg, VA with Dr. Fred L. Austin officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home one hour before the service from 10 am to 11 am.
