Bonnie Jean Munsey Pruitt

Bonnie Jean Munsey Pruitt 79 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. Bonnie was born on July 25, 1937 in Pearisburg and was a daughter of the late John (Jake) William Munsey and Dorothy Pauline Lucas Munsey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Pruitt. Bonnie was a graduate of Pearisburg High School Red Devils, she was a Magic Mart Lady, a Walmart Lady, Relay for Life Lady, cancer survivor, Magic Mart Gang member, a Rich Creek Methodist Walker Relay member and church member, family member and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Bottoms Patton and her husband, George of Augusta, GA, one grandson, Zane M. Groves of Augusta, GA, one sister, Paula M. Reynolds of Rich Creek and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 11:00am with the Rev Betsy R. Switzer officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg Sunday evening from 6 – 8pm.
