Andrew Dills "A.D." Dennis

Andrew Dills (A.D.) Dennis, 83 of the Wilburn Valley community of Pearisburg, VA., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Heritage Hall, Rich Creek. A.D. was born on June 5, 1936 in Wilburn Valley and was a son of the late Herman Bayard Dennis and Willie Johnston Dennis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Byron Dennis and Herman Johnston Dennis. A.D. attended Providence United Methodist Church in Wilburn Valley for many years, was a former member of Giles County REACT Team, an active member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows Lodge, Pearisburg and retired from the Giles County PSA. He was also an avid fan of Giles Spartan Football and Virginia Tech. He was a good friend, neighbor and helper to all in his community. He is survived by one sister, Joyce Dennis of Pearisburg, special cousins, Barbara Lucas, Toni Dennis, Edna Martin, Martha Spicer, Irvin Dennis and Dennis Martin and special friends, the Tony and Linda Meadows family. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Charles Henderson officiating with burial following in the Carper-Johnston Family Cemetery in Wilburn Valley in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am before the service. Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
