Alma "Sue" Broyles Payne, 92 of Burkeville, VA, formerly of Pearisburg and Hopewell, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Hickory Hill Retirement Community in Burkeville, VA. Sue was born on August 27, 1930 in Caretta, WV and was a daughter of the late Preston Taylor Broyles and Mayreese Queener Broyles. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Payne. Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11am at the Grandview Memory Gardens, 38659 Gov G.C. Peery Hwy, Bluefield, VA, with the Rev. Dr. Brian Burch officiating.
