Edna Louise Tawney Harvey

HARVEY, EDNA LOUISE TAWNEY, 70 of Newport, VA went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Harvey was born on October 13, 1937 in Newport, VA. and was a daughter of the late Chancie Rowe Tawney and Lena Lucas Tawney. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Sherry Memorial Christian Church in Newport. She is survived by, her husband of 49 years, Roy (Jack) Winfred Harvey of Newport, one son and daughter-in-law, Sherman R. and Angela Breen Harvey of Newport, one granddaughter, Kayla L. Harvey of Newport and her boyfriend, Todd Evans of Pembroke and special friends, Christine Epperley, Kathleen Lucas, Eva Price, Marjorie Lucas, Mary Ross, Lula Cruise, Allen and Rochelle Breeding, Hun Williams, and Scott and Elaine Myers. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Lucas Cemetery in Newport with the Rev. Matthew Cox officiating. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Newport Rescue Squad. The family would like to thank the second floor Nursing Staff of the Montgomery Regional Hospital for their loving care and the Medi Home Health & Hospice Staff and Nurses.
