Mrs. Brown was born on April
20, 1921 in
Giles
County
and was a daughter of the late Harve Link and Lena Caldwell Link.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
Parris S. (Jack) Brown, two brothers, Garthan and Roylence Link and one
sister, Mildred Link. Mrs.
Brown was a member of
Riverview
Baptist
Church
in
Ripplemead
,
VA.
She is survived by one
daughter and son-in-law, Brenda B. & Bill Simpson of
Roanoke
, one son, James Harvey Brown and companion Tina Bragg of Pearisburg, one
sister, Lenora Carr of Pearisburg, four grandchildren, Michael and Wife
Janette Brown, Kim and Husband Sherman Shrewsberry, Jamie and Wife Amanda
Brown, Allen Brown and one great grandchild, Ethan Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 24, 2008 at
11:00am at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Shahn
Wilburn and Rev Wayne Monroe officiating with burial following in the
Birchlawn

Park
in Pearisburg. The family will
receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6-8 pm,
please use the Church street
