Miss Earnest was born on
September 19, 1919 in
Arlington
,
WV
and was a daughter of the late Gaylord T. and Cora Lynch Earnest, Sr.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother,
Gaylord T. Earnest, Jr. and three sisters, Bertha Moody, Eva Litchfield
and Shirley Smith. Miss
Earnest was a member of the
Ingram
Village
Methodist
Church
in Pearisburg and although she had no children, she was a mother to all of
her nieces and nephews. She is
survived by six sisters, Ada Ratliff, Clara Earnest, Edith Wudarski, Hazel
Eaton, Dorothy Holsenback all of Pearisburg and Margie Bean of
Brooksville, Fl., many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and
great great nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be conducted Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:00pm at the
Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating with
burial following in the
Birchlawn
Burial
Park
in Pearisburg. The family will
receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
