Charles E. (Bud) Randel, Sr.

Charles E. (Bud) Randel, Sr., 77 of Staffordsville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Bud was born on March 12, 1943 in Kit Carson, Co. and was a son of the late William Earl Randel and Emma Florence Wilper Randel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin (Al) Randel and two sisters, Mildred Collins and Mary Wilson. Bud loved attending Sheffey Memorial Church in Staffordsville. While serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he was a member on the Presidential yacht for Lyndon B. Johnson. Bud worked at the Lynchburg Foundry in Radford until he retired. He loved his family, Giles Spartan football and gardening. The best part was when his wife retired, and they were able to enjoy Godís beauty by traveling to all fifty states. Bud loved visiting friends and his church family. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dana Randel of Staffordsville, one daughter, Renee Armstrong (Eric Powers) of Floyd, two sons, Chuck Randel (Rhonda) of Pearisburg, Wes Randel (Stephanie) of Pembroke, three sisters, Alice Borkosky of Wild Horse, CO, Barbara Cummins of Protection, KS, Carol Terrell (Gary) of Strasburg, CO., three brothers, Bill Randel (Carolyn) of Lennox, SD, Carl Randel (Anna) of Kit Carson, CO, Jim Randel (Dianna) of Wildhorse, CO., six grandchildren, Zack Baker, Jessie Baker, Andy Randel (Savannah), Chad Randel (Danielle), Emily Randel, Josh Randel and four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev Brad Lewis and Charles Henderson officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimerís Association.
