Charles Weaver Houck

Charles Weaver Houck, 88 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, May 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Houck was born on April 13, 1931 in Ashe County, NC and was the son of the late Blan George Houck and Cleo Della Howell Houck. Charles was an 18 year employee of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, managed the Timberlake Hardware and Building Supply Store in Pearisburg for five years and then was the owner operator of Ho-Bo Trucking for 23 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg for 41 years. Charles was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved his garden. He is survived by wife of 67 years, Helen Kay Howell Houck of Pearisburg, one son and daughter-in-law, Roger Allen & Jan Houck of Pearisburg, two grandchildren, Leslie H. Brame of Pulaski, TN, Andy A. and Alli Jo Houck of San Diego, CA and one great granddaughter Tatum R. Houck of San Diego, CA. The family will receive friends at the Pearisburg First United Methodist Church fellowship hall Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11:00 am with a luncheon at noon. After the luncheon, the family would like everyone to gather and share stories about Charles.
