In Loving Memory of

William Kent (Bill) Eaton

William Kent (Bill) Eaton, 81, of Pearisburg Va. went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born March 22, 1936 in Powhatan, West Virginia, Bill was a diehard Va. Bill graduated from Pearisburg High School in 1956, where he was a standout athlete in football and baseball. He enlisted in the Army out of high school and spent several years in Korea. He met his future bride in high school and they were married on November 27, 1959 after he returned from Korea. Bill was employed by Electro TEC in Blacksburg, VA where the family made their home for 25 years. At the age of 62, Bill finally retired from Electro TEC after 39 years of service. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Paige (Greatmom) Eaton, father Preston (Pop) Eaton, Brother Donald Eaton and Sisters Peggy Body and Sarah (Bunny) Strole. Bill was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Bill loved working on things, anything. He so enjoyed figuring out how things worked. If you had something broken, give it to Bill. He would fix it. He was always there to help friends and family with whatever they needed him for. A special thank you to the Salem VA hospital Hospice unit for their loving care and support.
