In Loving Memory of
Ralph Jearl Owens
Ralph Jearl Owens, of Pearisburg, passed away peacefully at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia on July 7, 2018, at the age of seventy-eight. Born in Haysi, Virginia on September 25, 1939, to parents John and Bertha Owens, Ralph was the second of seven children. He was a graduate of Haysi High School and was employed by the Radford Arsenal for more than thirty years. Ralph enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins, Virginia Tech Hokies and Nascar. Ralph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faye Perrigan Owens and children, Michael Owens (Charlotte) of Flowery Branch, GA and Regina Dickenson (Randy) of Pulaski, VA. He will lovingly be remembered by his grandchildren, Tyler, Katie and Isaak Dickenson, all of Pulaski, Virginia; Sarah Beth Owens Gossage (Walker) of Chattanooga, TN; Nathan Owens of Atlanta, GA, and Emily and William Owens of Flowery Branch, GA. He was also a proud great grandfather to Ember Dickenson and Owen Gossage. He leaves behind six siblings and their spouses: Don and Tana Owens, Helen Owens, Eddie and Ann Owens, Mike and Wilma Owens Fuller, all of Haysi; Jerry and Doris Owens, of Castlewood; and Gary Owens, of Floral City, FL.
