passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007. Mr.
Simpkins was born on February 2, 1942 in
Snowville
,
VA
and was a son of the late Waddie Thomas Simpkins and Lucille Moore
Simpkins. Besides his parents,
he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Simpkins.
Mr. Simpkins was an U.S. Army and Air Force Veteran and was a
retired employee of Alliant Tech Systems, (Radford Arsenal). He is
survived by his wife Phyllis Tabor Simpkins of Pearisburg, one step
daughter, Linda A. and Husband Bryan French of Peterstown, WV, one
brother, Roger Simpkins of Snowville, two sisters, Wanda Simpkins of
Blacksburg, Carolyn and husband Duane Vickerman of Denver, Co, one uncle,
Don East of Pearisburg, one step granddaughter, Schallyne Stone, one step
great grandson, Nathan Robertson, 4 nieces, Connie Viar, Kim Simpkins,
Susan Viars, Christine Crouch and two nephews, Dean Simpkins and Bobby
Boothe. A private memorial
service will be held at a later date.
