John Ray Sadler
SADLER,
JOHN RAY, 80 of Staffordsville, (Bane), VA passed away Monday night,
February 20, 2007 at
Carilion
Giles
Memorial
Hospital
in
Pearisburg
,
VA.
Mr. Sadler was born on May 22, 1926 in Bane, VA and was a son of
the late John Edward Sadler and Mattie S. Sadler.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie
Stafford Sadler, three brothers, Jess, Lawrence and Clarence Sadler, and
four sisters, Lucy Eaton, Mary Stafford, Pauline and Ruby Sadler.
Mr. Sadler was an Army Sgt. in WWII, a retired Supervisor of the
Celanese Corp. in Narrows and was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Hill
Methodist Church in Bane, VA.
Mr. Sadler is survived by his son, Douglas Wayne Sadler of
Pearisburg, two darling grandchildren, Ashley and David Sadler of
Pearisburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 22, 2007 at
2:00pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Wayne
Monroe officiating with burial following in the
Birchlawn
Burial
Park
in Pearisburg.
The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home
Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
