in Radford. Mr. Davis was born
on November 3, 1919 in
Shumate

VA
, and was a son of the late Walter Lee Davis and Minnie Meadows Davis.
Besides his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby
Irene Akers Davis and 10 sisters. Bud
was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, a retiree from the
Giles
High School
, an active member of the Triangle Ruritan Club in Bane, the
Ingram
Village
United
Methodist
Church
and a member of the American Legion Post # 6000.
He is survived by one son, Curtis Lee Davis, Sr. of Narrows, two
daughters, Ruby Jane Davis of the home in Pearisburg, Charlotte Anne D.
Eads of Pearisburg, six grandchildren, Anthony Cory Eads, Shana Brooke
Eads,, Kevin Dewayne Davis, Curtis Lee Davis, Jr., Kelly Lynn McCroskey,
Michael Thomas Eads, six great grandchildren, Lukas Cameron Davis, Cody
Hunter Davis, Ryan Bradford Davis, Dustin Levi Davis, Taylor Kirk
McCroskey, Adrian Lyn McCroskey, beloved in-laws, Betty D. Woodward, JoJo
Eads, Dee Dee Davis, Lisa Davis, Billy McCroskey, a very special friend,
Clara Robertson and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 2, 2006 at
2:00 pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Cindy
Baxter and Rev. Kim Goddard officiating with burial following in the
Ratcliffe Family cemetery in Pearisburg.
