passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich
Creek, VA. Mrs. Dressler was
born on June 25, 1929 in
Giles County
,
VA
and was a daughter of the late Joe and Callie Mae Hodge Sadler.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband
Garthan W. Link and four sisters, Becky Avore, Hazel Bruce, Louise Merix
and Ilene Stewart. She is
survived by one daughter, Sally L. Hale of
Monroe
,
NC
, two sons, Charles Lester Dressler of Pearisburg, Teddy Lee Dressler of
Gold Bond, three sisters, Bertie Collins of Christiansburg, Mary Jane
Martin of Christiansburg, June Cox of
Blacksburg
and two grandchildren, John M. Poff, Jr. and Toni L. Dressler and several
nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be conducted Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Givens Funeral
Chapel at 2:00pm with the Rev. Brad Lewis officiating with burial
following in the
Birchlawn
Burial
Park
in Pearisburg. The family will
receive friends at Givens Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
