In Loving Memory ofMary Byrd Webb SpanglerSPANGLER, MARY BYRD WEBB, 87 of Pearisburg passed away Friday, February 25, 2005 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. Mrs. Spangler was born on May 27, 1917 in Bluefield, WV and was a daughter of the late Isaac Jefferson and Edna Gardner Webb. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester R. Spangler, Sr. and two brothers, Isaac J. Webb, Jr and Tipton V. Webb. Mrs. Spangler was a member of the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Church Circle and pass member of the Pearisburg Jr. Woman’s Club. She also known as being an excellent seamstress. She is survived three sons and daughter-in-laws, Lester R. and Chieko G. Spangler, Jr. of Dayton, OH, James E. and Beth E. Spangler of Gahanna, OH, Thomas M. and Victoria Spangler of Cary, NC, one sister, Helen W. Allen of Pleasant Garden, NC and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church at 1:00pm with Pastor David R. Snyder officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, Saturday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
