In Loving Memory ofMable Victoria Puckett Hale
HALE, MABLE VICTORIA PUCKETT, 82 of Pearisburg, VA passed away, Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Mrs. Hale was born on November 14, 1922 in Vivian, WV. Mable’s mother passed away when was two years old. She then went to live with her aunt, Mrs. Jackson, in Russell County, VA. She graduated from Honaker High School, then moved to Bluefield, WV where she attended and graduated McLean Business College. After graduating business school, she worked at Appalachain Power in Bluefield, WV. In 1949 she and her husband moved to Pearisburg, VA where she was employed as the Town of Pearisburg Clerk & Treasurer for many years. She is survived by her husband, James Leonard Hale of Pearisburg, one daughter, Joy Lynn Kerekes of Dove Canyon, CA, three grandsons, Matthew and wife Cherae Fraker Kerekes, Micah Kerekes, and Mitchell Kerekes, one great-granddaughter, Alexis Cherae Kerekes and one sister, Brooksie Burkentine of Haverdegrace, MD. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg with Dr. Tony Collins and Dr. Fred L. Austin officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will received friends Wednesday, Morning at the First United Methodist Church from 10 – 11 am, one hour before the funeral.
