passed away at her home, early Thursday morning, December 22, 2005.
Mrs. Barton was born on October 13, 1928 in
Giles County
,
VA
and was a daughter of the late Charlie Hodge and Mary Carper Hodge.
Mrs. Barton was a member of the
Riverview
Baptist
Church
in Ripplemead, retired from the Celanese Corp in
Narrows
and was a former member of the Giles Rescue Squad.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and
Jo-Ann Barton of Edgewood, MD, 3 brothers Carson and Danny Hodge of
Pearisburg, Newton Hodge, 2 sisters Rowena Whitmire of N.C., Betty Muncey of
VA and special friend, Betty Pillow of Narrows.
Memorial funeral services will be conducted Monday evening, December
26, 2005 at 7 pm at
Riverview
Baptist
Church
in Ripplemead with the Rev Shahn Wilburn officiating.
