GEORGE SAMUEL (SAMMY), 56 of
Blacksburg
, formerly of Pearisburg,
passed away Thursday evening, June 16, 2005 at
Pulaski
Community
Hospital
. Mr. Level was born on
January 2, 1949 in Pearisburg and was a son of the late George Wallace
Level and Irene McCormick Level. Mr.
Level graduated
Giles
High School
in 1967 and received his bachelors and masters degree from VA Tech.
Mr. Level taught biology, earth science and math at
Narrows
High School
for 32 years. He was the MACC
Commissioner and a gifted coordinator.
He is survived by his Aunt Gerry Eddy of Pearisburg, a cousin Judy
Level Stafford of Pearisburg and numerous other cousins, many dear friends
and a host of students. A
memorial service will be held, Monday, June 20, 2005 at the Givens Funeral
Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Biggs officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in
Pearisburg on Monday from 1 – 2 pm.
Interment will follow in the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in
Organ Cave
,
WV
at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, contributions may be made to the Salem Presbyterian Church
Cemetery Fund at Rt 2,
